Predator Circuits & Rhino Sanctuaries

The lodge serves as a primary launchpad for the most famous game loops in the Central and Southwest regions:

• Makoma Hill: Located nearby in the Seronera Valley, the wooded Makoma Hill is a haven for giraffe, elephant, and buffalo. The plains below are a legendary hunting ground for cheetahs and hyenas. Guests can visit the Thatch Kopjes, a known den site for the local lion pride, to witness the intense competition between the Serengeti’s apex predators.
• Moru Kopjes: A short drive southwest leads to the iconic Moru Kopjes, the only place in the park to spot the rare Black Rhino. Guests can visit the Serengeti Rhino Project visitor’s center to learn about conservation efforts or hike to Gong Rock to view ancient Maasai rock paintings.
• Lake Magadi: Just east of Moru, this saline lake is a kaleidoscope of pink as thousands of flamingos gather in its soda-rich waters.

Retina Hippo Pool: Located nearby in the Seronera Valley, this is the best spot in the park to see hundreds of hippos submerged in a deep river pool.

The Ridge-Top Suites

The lodge features 25 spacious guest tents, each encompassing approximately 500 square feet of internal living space and positioned for maximum privacy.
