Lahia is strategically situated near the Mbalageti River, a natural migration route for wildebeest and zebra. This prime location puts the lodge directly in the wake of the thundering path as the herds trek toward Lake Victoria.

It is also the primary nesting site for the Martial Eagle, Africa’s most powerful raptor, and home to massive troops of baboons.
• Musabi Plains: A stunningly expansive area of grasslands surrounded by verdant acacia woodlands. Musabi is a vital “off the beaten path” circuit and serves as the favored breeding ground for the Topi antelope.
• The National Emblem: Giraffes (Tanzania’s national symbol) dominate the Musabi woodlands, alongside high concentrations of elephants that feed on the tender acacia leaves.

Predator Circuit: The open grasslands of Musabi provide excellent visibility for spotting lions and cheetahs stalking their prey across the sweeping vistas.
