Our itineraries aren’t just planned; they are engineered. Refined over decades through a blend of scientific data, first-hand exploration, and years of guest feedback, our routes are strategically timed to follow the natural movement of wildlife. We pair these prime locations with a hand-selected mix of lodges designed to put you in the heart of the action. When you choose Africa Dream Safaris, you are choosing the most sophisticated wildlife experience on the continent.
Why spend your first day on dusty highways when you could be soaring above the Serengeti? Our signature “Fly In & Drive Back” itineraries are designed to maximize your time where it matters most: in the heart of the wilderness.
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking flight over Northern Tanzania, landing on a remote bush airstrip. There, your private guide and vehicle will be waiting to whisk you directly into your first game drive—no transit delays, no backtracking, and no redundant miles. From the moment your feet hit the grass, you are immersed in the action, often encountering the Big Cats before your first lunch in the bush.
Seasonal Precision: To ensure you land exactly where the wildlife is most concentrated, we utilize different Serengeti airstrips throughout the year:
- Dec – April: Seronera Airstrip (Central Serengeti)
- May – June: Grumeti Airstrip (Western Serengeti)
- July – Nov: Mara River Airstrip (Northern Serengeti)
We believe a hurried safari is no safari at all. That’s why every Africa Dream Safaris itinerary includes a minimum of four full days in the Serengeti. Our strategy splits your time to ensure you witness both the permanent residents and the movement of the Great Migration.
- The Permanent Residents (Central Serengeti): You will spend two days in the Seronera River Valley, a year-round haven for wildlife. Thanks to perennial rivers, this region supports a lush ecosystem of elephants, giraffes, hippos, and buffalo. This concentration of prey makes it the predator capital of Africa, offering your best chance to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs in action.
- The Great Migration (Seasonal Regions): The remaining two days are dedicated to the world-famous wildebeest migration. We don’t use a fixed location; instead, we shift our camps monthly to follow the herds. Whether it’s the Southern plains in the green season, the Western corridor during transitions, or the Northern Woodlands in the dry season, we ensure you have a front-row seat to the movement of millions.
- The Serengeti (4+ Days): We don’t guess; we strategize. We split your time between the predator-rich Seronera Valley and the moving herds of the Migration.
- Ngorongoro Crater (The Early Bird Advantage):Every ADS itinerary features two game drives into the Crater. We pride ourselves on being the first vehicle down, giving you a private viewing experience of the “Big Five” before the mid-day crowds arrive.
- Lake Manyara (The Jungle Sanctuary): A unique, lush ecosystem perfect for viewing primates and elephants in a setting that feels worlds away from the open savannah.
- Tarangire National Park: Seasonally included to ensure you see the highest concentrations of wildlife during the dry months.
